TRAVELLING TO AND FROM CHIOS
Chios is connected to the ports of Piraeus, Lavrio and Kavala. From Chios you can also visit the nearby islands of Lesvos, Limnos, Samos etc. and the other islands of the Regional Unit of Chios, Oinousses and Psara.
Ferries from Piraeus to Chios run all year round on a daily basis. During summer period there are more available departures for you to choose from.
In case you prefer to travel by airplane there are daily routes from Athens and Thessaloniki with various companies. Due to the direct connection with the airports of Athens and Thessaloniki you can reach Chios from anywhere in the world. The airport of Chios is located 3km from Chios town. The flight time for Athens is 30 minutes and for Thessaloniki approximately 50 minutes.
All year round, there is daily ferry connection between Chios and the port of Cesme, close to Izmir Turkey with Turyol which is one of the top ferry companies in Turkey.
